On 24th May 2009, Doce Pares showcased the art of Eskrima at the Frimley Food Festival that was held in Frimley, Surrey.
Doce Pares met the amazing Parsons family who were naturals at eskrima. This active family excelled from the very basics through to the sparring/sport aspect.
The Philippine Embassy, along with other passionate individuals and organisations from the British-Filipino community were there to celebrate the delicious Filipino delicacies which were available at the event.
A lechon (or spit roast) has been prepared from 6am for the enjoyment of everyone. There was also pinoy ice cream, espasol, buchie, adobong mani, puto, dinuguan, biko, kuchinta, sapin sapin, BBQ and many tasty exotic Filipino food.
The day was amazingly warm and sunny and was great for everyone.
