Eskrima, also known as Arnis or Kali, is an indigeneous Filipino Martial Art which utilizes weapons such as sticks (single and double), knife/daggers, espada y daga (sword and dagger), bangkaw (staff), mano-mano (empty hands: kicking and punching), and dumog (grappling) - the Filipino way. It is a complete system by itself.
Doce Pares is an assemblage of various styles. Styles that were brought and introduced into the organization by the founding masters in 1932. To the credit of the leaders of the organization, these diverse and often contrasting styles and skills were all successfully integrated and passed on to the next generation of Doce Pares adherents.
The Guba Doce Pares system teaches the complete close quarter sparring to improve technique and skills.

WEKAF GB Director Roger Barnes passed away on 8th March 2009 while cornering one of his students at the WEKAF British Championships in Northampton.

Roland Dantes is one of the most popular action actors. He starred in films featuring the Filipino martial art of eskrima/arnis. He was also a body builder and was a finalist in the Mr Philippines and Mr World competitions. He is a favourite among avid filmviewers and everyone will miss him.
