World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (WEKAF)

Formed by Doce Pares in 1989 in Cebu, Philippines to promote the Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) via a sporting version of eskrima throughout the world.

Doce Pares tournaments

Doce Pares competitions follow the same rules as WEKAF plus the additional techniques such as foot sweeping and thrusting with the butt of the stick (punyo). Only Doce Pares members can take part in the competitions.

British Low Armour

This consists of 2 x 1.5 minute rounds of full-contact stickfighting with only helmet, gloves and groin box for protection. This is judged by a panel of 3 for striking, blocking and evasion. A disarm in the round means you lose that round and 2 disarms is a technical knockout.

Seni Show Eskrima Open Championships

This tournament ran for the very first time on 26 April 2008 at the Seni Show which was held in Excel, London. Competitors from various systems competed in Sayaw (Forms), Single and double stick sparring in WEKAF-format. KOMBATA, a Limited Armour competition was also held at the end of the event.

KOMBATA Limited Armour is a competition for the more advanced practitioners. It is fought with headgear and gloves only (elbow pads optional). It is open to all styles. Only vests/sleeveless shirts and short shorts (or Muay Thai type of shorts) are allowed.

Seni Show Eskrima and KOMBATA Limited Armour was founded by Ermar Alexander.

Arnis Alliance

The tournament is full contact continuous sparring with padded sticks, with a head guard and groin guard only (Chest guard for ladies), NO gloves, NO elbow/knee pads and NO arm pads for all adults in single and double stick divisions. Although for 5' Long stick division gloves are mandatory and all children's divisions must also additionally wear chest guards and gloves.

Arnis Kali Eskrima Association (AKEA)

Formed in Italy, it is a point-system version of eskrima where one has to have a clear powerful hit on either the head or shin only. Players wear full WEKAF gear and additional shinguards for protection.
